 HW #16      Architecture on the Acropolis in Athens
 1  List, account for purposes of  Erectheum  and  Temple of Athena Nike & their most famous sculptures.
 2  Make small diagrams of the most famous sculptures on these two buildings.
 3  Read about feminism in Gardner text & make notes about Greek women.
 4  Watch "Secrets of the Parthenon" at pbs.org
 5  Take notes on fascinating facts about the Parthenon

HW #17    "Late Classical Style" 

 1  Notes on new art form (theatre) which arose at this time.   
 2  Notes on history (why it happened) of this period.
 3  List sculptors of this period & their innovations.  Make small diagrams of their important works.

HW #18     "Hellenistic Syle"
 1  Make notes on definition of Hellenistic Style  (include dates). 
 2  List illustrated works in your text(s) with dates & artist's names if known)
 3  Make tiny sketches of the illustrated works & identify artist (if known)
 4  Most famous of Hellenistic altarpieces was at Pergamon.  Why was it built?  Where is it now?
 5  Read chapter summaries in each book and make any notes you wish to.

HW #19      Prove you know "secret" of pediment design in Classical period.

 1   Draw a pediment shape  7” across & 1.5” at ctr.  Draw in figures from modern life using at least  7 figures.  (Make them all in same scale.)    Title the activity you are depicting
